FAQ about Plain Ol' Trailers' Cargo Trailers, Pricing and Delivery

Q: How long will it take to get my trailer?

A: Most common sizes of enclosed cargo trailers are kept in stock. Special orders can take a week in slow season, longer in busy season. Trailers with options can take longer, depending on the options selected. Flooring, A/C, and electrical can add from a few days to, in rare cases, a few weeks to your build. It’s best to ask your sales rep about custom trailers!

Q: When can I pick my trailer up?

A: Your trailer is available for pick up Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Saturdays mornings by appointment only, additional fees apply.

Q: I don’t want to pick my trailer up. Will you deliver?

A: Yes. For delivery cost, use our shipping calculator. Ask about discounts for smaller trailers (7′ wide and under) that can be fit three or more to a load.

Q: Does the trailer come with electric brakes on both axles?

A: The 7′ wide trailer and the 8.5 wide trailer both come standard with electric brakes, they’re optional on the 5′ wide trailer and 6′ wide trailer.

Q: Does the length of the trailer include the v-nose?

A: No. If it’s a 28′ long trailer, it’s 28′ PLUS the v-nose. Same with 16′ trailer, etc. Standard V Nose is about 2′, a bit less for smaller trailers.

Q: Why are your trailers so cheap?

A: You will be picking your new trailer up direct from the factory, which makes over 100 trailers per week. The trailer doesn’t have to be shipped and it doesn’t have to sit on a lot costing a dealer money.

Q: Are your trailers similar quality to brand X, Y, or Z?

A: Sturdy, steel-frame construction for our trailers is where we start. Most of the components we use for your trailer are identical to those used by other trailer manufacturers. There are minor details that vary from trailer to trailer.

Q: Does the door have to be on the side of the trailer or can I move it?

A: You can move the trailer door wherever you would like, including into the v-nose. You can also delete the rear loading door from the trailer.

Q: What kind of hook up do I need for the lights on my trailer?

A: 7′ wide trailers and 8.5′ wide trailers come standard with a round 7-way plug, while the smaller trailers come with a flat 4-way plug. Newer trucks should have both.

Q: What size main rails are used on a South Georgia Cargo trailer?

A: Depends on the trailer.

Q: What rating are your tires?

Q: What is the bolt pattern for your wheels?

Q. What size is the side door?

Q: What kind of lock goes on the side door?

Q: I want to mount a generator on the tongue, what do I need to order to have room for this?
